The Asia Forest Network (AFN) is dedicated to supporting the role of communities in protection and sustainable use of Asia's forests. AFN is comprised of a coalition of planners, policy makers, government foresters, scientists, researchers, and NGOs including ESSC. 

APC

Apu Palamguwan Center logo
In 1993 literacy classes for children and adults were established with ESSC assistance in Bendum. After a long process of coordination and advocacy, Apu Palamguwan Cultural Education Center (APC) gained formal recognition from the Department of Education in 2004 as the first culture-based school for Indigenous Peoples.

Bat Conservation International

It was founded in 1982, as scientists around the world became concerned that bats essential to the balance of nature andhuman economies were in alarming decline. Under the founding guidance of Dr.Merlin Tuttle, an internationally recognized authority on bats, theorganization has achieved unprecedented progress by emphasizing sustainableuses of natural resources that benefit both bats and people.

CUD

cud_logo.jpgThe CUD is responsible, within the CIUF, for implementing the university policy of cooperation for development. It is a place of dialogue and consultation. It seeks to pool the resources and potential of speaking universities of Belgium to increase the effectiveness of their contribution to international cooperation and enable and implement projects that no institution has the ability to achieve alone.

FPE3

FPE3 logoFostering People's Education, Empowerment and Enterprise (FPE3) is a not-for-profit organization created by the Foundation for the Philippine Environment. FPE3 envisions communities caring responsively and living in harmony with their environment, with a mission to mainstream and advocate biodiversity conservation and education through outdoor enrichment programs; to empower partner communities and NGOs in the management and sustainable development of their environment; and to promote the use of enterprise as a strategy for organizational sustainability of not-for-profit partners.

The Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix (FUNDP) partnership highlights the use of geomatic tools to facilitate greater understanding of the impact of human activities on the environment.

 

GEMBLOUX

gembloux.jpgFounded in 1860, the University Faculty of Gembloux is the oldest Belgian institution of teaching and research devoted entirely to agronomy and biological engineering which includes life sciences and environmental management.Its activities have gained worldwide reputation and are organized around four topics: Agronomical Sciences; Management of Forests and Natural Areas; Environmental Sciences and Technologies; Chemistry and Bio-industries.

HPFPI

hpfpilogo.jpgThe Homeless People's Federation Philippines (HPFPI) is a nationwide network of 200 urban poor community associations and savings groups spanning all over the three major regions in the Philippines, namely Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. It aspires for secure tenure, decent living, emancipation from poverty and protection of their dignity and rights as citizens of their cities. HPFPI was formally established as a federation in September 1998, though activities started in 1992 with support from the Vincentian Missionaries. A key priority for the HPFPI is to provide assistance to communities living in high-risk areas such as river banks, dumpsites, highways, rail tracks, shorelines, under the bridge, and those displaced by the city's major infrastructure projects. 

Irish Jesuit Mission Office

Municipality of Pilar, Bohol

provincial_bohol.pngMunicipality of Pilar is a new municipality located in the interior town of Bohol. It was created by Executive Order No. 460 issued by the former President Carlos P. Garcia on December 26, 1960. It used to be a barrio of Sierra Bullones and was called Lungsodaan because it was the old seat of the municipal government during the Spanish regime.

PACSII

(PACSII) is one of Homeless International’s newest partners.  PACSII grew out of a church based organisation called the Vincentian Missionaries Social Development Foundation, Inc.  In 1992, this organisation supported the first community savings groups in an area called Payatas in Manila.  These groups have since encouraged and assisted groups in other parts of the city and country to mobilise around issues of land and housing.

Specifically, these projects may consist of one or more of the following eligible types of activities: Protection Activities; Natural Resource Management;Capacity Building; Restoration or Sustainable Use; Research on Medical Uses; Livelihood of Forest Dwellers; Coastal Forest Management and Protection.
